The MTD 738-04124 Snowblower Shear Pin and Cotter Pin is a replacement auger shear pin designed for selected MTD two-stage snowblowers and snow throwers. The 1/4″ x 1-1/2″ shear pin is designed to protect the auger and gearbox by breaking if the auger encounters ice, stones or other obstructions.
