The STIHL ADVANCE X-Shell Jacket in Peat / Black is a high-quality professional work jacket designed for forestry professionals, tree climbers, landscapers and other outdoor users working in cool autumn and winter conditions.

Developed exclusively for STIHL by Schöffel, the ADVANCE X-Shell combines a highly elastic, breathable and water-repellent outer construction with a comfortable soft fleece interior. The jacket is designed to provide warmth and freedom of movement while helping protect the wearer from wind and wet weather during demanding outdoor work.

The Peat / Black version features two practical zipped side pockets and abrasion protection on the shoulders. The jacket can also be combined with STIHL protective trousers such as the MultiProtect HS and TriProtect FS ranges.

Material & Construction

The ADVANCE X-Shell uses a lightweight, flexible outer fabric made from 100% polyester. A polyurethane membrane provides the waterproof and breathable properties of the coloured areas, while the black sections are water-repellent and breathable. The inside features a soft fleece material for additional warmth and comfort.

The highly elastic construction allows greater freedom of movement, making the jacket particularly suitable for forestry, tree climbing, landscaping and other physically demanding outdoor work.

Safety & Standards

The STIHL ADVANCE X-Shell is classified as PPE Category 1 and has been developed in accordance with the applicable requirements of EN ISO 13688:2013, the standard covering general requirements for protective clothing.

The Peat / Black version has also received the KWF test mark from the Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik (German Forestry and Forestry Technology advisory organisation).

Important: The ADVANCE X-Shell is not a chainsaw cut-protection jacket. It should not be relied upon as chainsaw protective clothing when operating a chainsaw.
