5/8" Aramid Belts
All Aramid belts have width 5/8" and vary from lengths of 25 inches to 199 inches.
Mitsuboshi Belts are the lowest entry quality belts available at Lawnmower Parts Online. These Belts are not recommended for heavy duty work and are more suitable for lighter applications.
Premium Belts - These Belts are stronger and more durable than the Mitsuboshi belts. Again, we do have better quality belts available and if it's a top quality belt you are after it is the Kevalr and Aramid options that are best suited for you.
Aramid belts are made of special fibers for applications that are typically a little more high intensity. They are unique because of their strength and resistance to heat. This has made aramid fibers particularly useful for aerospace and military uses, which means it ought to be good enough for your lawnmower. These fibers, and kevlar in particular, typically replace the polyester cords found within a standard belt.
Kevlar belts have tensile cords. They provide better shock and impact resistance than steel or other materials. Kevlar also has a higher tensile modulus (lower stretch) than other tensile cord types, so Kevlar-reinforced belts experience less elongation over time. These are the highest quality belts on the market and have the longest lifespan. These are suitable for all machines and the heavier applications are no problem for these belts.
To replace the lawn mower belt, you will need to measure the belt’s length and width in order to find the correct size needed.
- Lay the belt flat on a hard surface.
- Measure the belt by wrapping the tape measure around the belt. For broken belts, simply measure the total length of the belt.
- Hold the tape measure against the length or width of the belt depending on which you need.
